An OpenWeather key is required

No key, no live weather.

  1. Create a free account at openweathermap.org.
  2. Confirm your e-mail address, then copy your key (« API keys » tab). A new key can take up to 2 hours to become active.
  3. Paste it once in System › Plugins › System - Ideal Weather: every module and element on the site uses it.

The free OpenWeather plan is more than enough thanks to the built-in cache. While waiting for the key, « Preview » mode lets you work on the layout.

4 animated icon styles

One setting changes the style. Clouds drift, rain and snow fall, the sun turns, lightning flashes. Animations stop for visitors who asked their system to reduce motion.
